Amanda is a born and raised Washingtonian.  Originally an elementary special education major, Amanda later chose to change tracks and pursue a more creative field and her passion for photography.  Since taking her first photography class at a summer camp in third grade, Amanda's love for photography has only grown stronger.  Growing up, Amanda was always the girl with a camera in her hand.

Amanda continued to learn her craft working hands on and embracing every educational opportunity, managing school photography divisions in PA, studying under and working alongside internationally known photographer and educator, Clay Blackmore, second shooting for many of the prominent D.C. area photographers and managing the retouching and design department at post-production company, Pilot Imaging for seven years.  Amanda has worked as a professional photographer since 2005 but,  since she is never done learning, this year she will return to school to pursue a formal education is Digital Media and Visual Communications while continuing to build her business and her brand.

Amanda's focus today is on cultivating her craft, specifically through portraiture, editorial projects, fine-art nature and landscape work, environmental conservation advocacy, stewardship and providing special needs families with photography services that meet their child's unique needs.
